David Dow

for Town Council

“I am seeking another term in order to continue my work to preserve and improve the quality of life of this town. This includes maintaining its warm character and open space, protecting property values, providing quality town services and controlling local taxes. I have strongly supported business district revitalization and improvements to infrastructure to support its long term viability. Serving as Town board member has been a privilege. I’m not seeking to change the world, advance any political or personal career agendas, but merely to serve my friends and neighbors. Residents deserve experienced leaders who look out for their interests and understand proper governance. I understand the duties and obligations of an elected official, the importance of influencing others and consensus building for the best outcome.”

David has been a resident of Pound Ridge for over twenty years where he lives with his wife Colette, who run the Dance school in town.  They have two children who attend BCSD.  The family has been heavily involved in community and school district activities for years.  David has been a Town Board Member since 2016 and has served on the Waste Water Task Force and as liaison to numerous boards and committees.  He previously served six years as a PR Library Trustee and as Library President.

David is a practicing corporate attorney where his focus is on Intellectual Property, Litigation and Regulatory law.  Prior to practicing law he was a molecular biology researcher.  He holds graduate degrees in Science and in Law.
