Bonnie Schwartz

for Town Council

“As a very active 26 year resident, I am deeply aware of what needs preserving and what needs improving in Pound Ridge. We need to ensure that newer residents with young families feel they made a good decision in moving here, while giving our long-time residents a reason to stay. That’s a community. Our tax dollars are precious and all of our homeowners need to trust that we are spending them wisely. I have the ability to bring people together, LISTEN to them and make necessary changes in a cost-effective way, so I feel well-suited to once again serve ALL our residents, not just one constituency or another.”

Bonnie Schwartz currently serves as a Pound Ridge Library Board Trustee, Active member of the Office of Emergency Management, and President of the Pound Ridge Lions Club. Having previously served a four year term on the Pound Ridge Town Board where she led by results. Bonnie implemented charging out of town residents for the 4th of July fireworks to recoup town expenses, initiated getting sponsors for the annual 5K road race, saved thousands in renewal subscription cancellations at the town house and installed automatic thermostats for cost and fuel efficiency. She has been an active member of the community receiving numerous awards for her volunteerism, including Women of Distinction Award, Lions Club International Award for volunteerism and The Bedford 25.
